Patriot is following in the footsteps of his father, who was by far the best ramlamb at Rangarvallasysla that year. Patriot is one of the most muscular& powerful rams I've ever seen, either here in North America, or in Iceland. Thick, broad & heavily muscled shoulders. Extremely thick neck. Wide chest, good rump and thick thighs, low & especially broad build. Strong & straight back with perfect loin eyemuscle shape. (Score of 5) Third fastest growth rate ever on this farm. (71 lbs. @ 60 days!) Abundant soft wool. My only criticism is that his horns are rather close to his face. Carries black, moorit, mouflon, and spotting. Now resides in Georgia. |

Mjaldursson: BLW-607N, white, twin, beautifully horned. 1/2 AI. Dam: "Red" STS-858G, Sire:Mjaldur,AI Ram #93-985, (a superb ram well known in Iceland for his outstanding 9.0 wool score, and for throwing superb lambs with excellent meat qualities. He has few offspring in North America, due to the fact that AI'ing in America was just beginning, and people didn't fully grasp how superb a ram he was...far ahead of the peers of his time, and still better than most rams at the AI stations even today!) This ram has the distinction of being the ONLY SON OF MJALDUR IN NORTH AMERICA. He is of medium height and broad in build, with excellent wide and fully muscled shoulders, thick neck, very broad chest, well- muscled loin with perfect eyemuscle shape, great rump, and deep, very thick thigh muscling. (His grandfather, the Iceland AI ram Thettir was given the incredible score of 19 for rear leg muscling, Iceland's highest ever!) Calm, tolerant personality. Heterozygous white. Carries moorit. |

Baldor: HMRR-513N, Moorit-grey, horned, triplet. 1/2 AI. Dam:HMRR-19H, horned moorit/grey. Sire: Bambi, moorit AI ram # 95-829. A very long ram
with great thigh muscling and broad chest. Low to the ground. Back is less broad but well muscled, with a 44mm eyemuscle thickness!!! Has a good quantity of wool. Sweet personality, like his sire Bambi. Carries grey pattern. We put him down this spring due to a number of genetic deficientcies. |

Tolkis: NMI-438P Black mouflon. Twin. 1/4 AI, Flotti. Born 3/24/04. Dam: "Tansy" NMI-02L. Sire: "Patriot" NMI-01M (described at the top of the page). Very rapid growth rate (60 lbs @ 60 days as a twin.) which has continued to this day...213 lbs at his 1 1/2 year evaluation!!! Tolkis is definitely following in the footsteps of his sire with his low and broad structure, heavily muscled back with a 42mm loin eyemuscle thickness, (ultrasound measured) and incredible heavy, thick shoulders with an 119.6cm chest circumference. In
the last 4+ years, only 2 rams in Iceland's AI stations
have even come close, Massi (95-841), with a chest measurement of 116cm, and Haengur (98-848), with a
chest measurement of 118cm. The average chest
measurement for AI Sires in Iceland is 105.2cm. Tolkis

Wool is dense and very black, with a notable glossiness and no graying. Carries spotting, and moorit.
